My Dog Training Background

I trained under the Canine Trade Group, founded by renowned trainer John Van Olden, and base my work on Leadership Theory Dog Training, an approach grounded in canine psychology, behavior, and physiology research.

My competitive background in Dressage (equestrian sport) refined my understanding of animal communication, body language, timing, and trust. All essential skills I bring to every dog training session.

A Focus-First Approach to Dog Training

My dog training programs emphasize the fundamentals: your dog's attention.

When your dog is truly engaged with you, distractions lose their power. I teach dogs to prioritize their handler over the environment, whether that's other dogs, people, food, or chaos.

This creates:

  • Reliable behavior in real-world situations

  • Calm leash walking without pulling

  • Better impulse control and focus

  • Stronger dog-owner communication

Commitment-Based Dog Training Philosophy

I work until your goals are met. My commitment-based training approach provides ongoing support, teaching you why dogs make certain choices and how to guide better decisions through structure, boundaries, and consistency.

Dogs naturally test limits. My role is helping you navigate those challenges confidently while strengthening your leadership and bond.

“My goal is for your Pup to be a well-adjusted member of your family that would be welcome anywhere, including restaurants, stores, and public events, and be well-behaved, relaxed, and loved. Have fun and be safe!”
